Default Royal Purple Oil

I read something online that said that a test run on a dyno by Hotrod Magazine showed a 10 Horse power increase with Royal Purple synthetic oil. One of my friends said that this is true, but you will definately be paying for it in the price of the oil. Have any of you used Royal Purple and can vouch for this, or do you guys think this is all just a load of bull?

How would they get that type of gain??? I don't think that any oil out there could really increase the mechanical efficiency of that motor to make a 10 hp difference....I'd be suprised if you got 3 out of it.

I could see you gaining HP from dyno to full synthetic. I'd like to see the different between a full synthetic and Royal Purple.

I remember seeing a test on 4-5 oils royal purple being one of them they showed the same gains then did several hot runs and put some mi on it and the royalpurple lost all the gains and began to perform the on the lower side of all the oils
