Mine is huge loud on startup. I don't think there is any way to change this unless you go back to stock.

I concur. My modified stock box is pretty loud at startup (especially with the Air Hog), but it does level off

Yea.. Mine hiss and kinda almost gurgle sound during warm up.. mine is a gutted airbox with stock filter

I"m assuming since you said rice pipe that you no longer have the original stock airbox. If that noise really bothers you.. you can put it back in.. it has a built in resonator that kills most of that sound during warm ups. but you know the trade off to that also

Make an encolsed box (except for the front opening) for the filter and dynamat it. Dynamat is heat resistant too so it will work out.
That should quiet it down.

Wrapping it and making a box will quiet it down some, but it'* still there. That'* your IAC going nuts to warm up the car. Series II has slightly more then series I.

Easiest way to remove the noise, floor it.

I personally like the sucking wind sound. I've had a few people ask me what I have under the hood. It does sound great after warm up!

Live with the hiss. I have my filter in the fender right in front of the tire, now it'* really loud.
