Default resonator

Ok new topic.

Now that I have installed a high flow cat would eliminating the resonator cause any back flow problems?Or would I gain horsepower and better sound?

no it won't cause any back flow problems.
would you gain horsepower ? probably not.
would it sound better ? that depends on what you like.
take the resonator off and you will get a drone sound in the cab of the car.
i had to put this on my car to get rid of the drone from my car

3" in and 3" out, but i also have Hooker Headers Aero Chamber Mufflers, not stock mufflers.
with the stock mufflers it should raise the volume some but the tone should stay the same.

My 93 didn't come from the factory with one. I had to ADD one after upgrading the rest of my exhaust due to cabin drone.

I agree with toastedoats, I put on a magnaflow hi flow cat and did a resonator delete but kept the factory muffler. I have no drone and it sounds great.

With or without a resonator, it'* highly unlikely tht your back flow will exceed 1" Hg, so there'* really nothing to worry about there. But, if you're anal about it, and really want to know what your backpressure will be, check this out:
