i think you guys are missing the fact that he doesnt mention putting on performance mufflers. i got the impression that he was just converting to an SLE/SSEi exhaust with a rersonator delete....

everyones comments appear to be geared towards their experience with aftermarket exhaust systems

PLEASE correct me if im wrong

I actually just go mine removed and it didn't make that much difference.......very little......although I do agree w/the others when they say it can get kinda annoying inside but I just crank my stereo and it'* all good!! As for performance.......not really!

The exhaust sound on an L67 is quite different. Even the L27 and L36 respond differently to component changes as far as sound is concerned.

Removing the resonator will not gain performance. Notice that the Bullet is ADDING a resonator.

I understand that. I'm curious about WHY he'd want to remove the resonator in the first place. I was stating that comparisons can't be made in sound quality to a supercharged model.

Resonators were not used untill 1994... You have the same muffler on your 89 as I do on my 91 LE... The NC6 option on some of the 87-91 Bonnies had a really nice note all the way from idle to redline... But all of them had some cabin drone at roughly 2000-2200 rpms..

As for the original topic, I do reccomend a resonator

There is no restriction in the stock resonator. It'* a straight shot.
