Just what the title says.

I want my car to be louder, but not necessarily add a muffler and whatnot, mostly because I think that will make it too loud, and this car just doesnt have the attitude the Bonneville had for the loudness, not too mention it might just sound ricey.

So Im wondering what kind of an effect you guys/gals think replacing the res with a glasspack, probably one shorter than the res and with a thinner casing, would have on the sound.

I like it to be just loud enough to maybe grab some attention, but not ungodly loud.

plus with this car id have to have a set of tips, so id be looking at well over 100 bucks by the time its all said and done, and i dont want to spend that much just to change the sound.

I am looking for almost the same thing but I am going to do a catback and put the magnaflow race bullet muffler in place of the resonator and go to a complete 2.5 system and headers. I will let you know what the sound is like when I am done
