Default cat

dump the cat. replace it with a straight pipe, see how that feels.

I've heard that if you don't have any cat it would decrease the gas mileage, but I'm sure from the HP gains it would be nice. Does anyone know how much a new cat OEM replacement cat would be and then like a high-flow one. I know my cat is getting bad it stinks sometimes just from normal driving, I 've replaced the O2 sensor and every thing, cept the one on the cat would that make a diff.

look in jcwhitney or summit for a catco hi flo catallytic converter. you will probably have to get the universal one. I think it'* around 60 bucks. pretty cheap for a cat conv.

If you lose too much backpressure, you'll lose torque. I'd suggest sticking with a cat, but hi-flow for sure. Mine gave me a little deeper rumble. Not overwhelming like a muffler can do, but just a hint.....sounds almost like an aftermarket cam if you know the sound.

Straight piping can get you in trouble, too. It'* a federal crime to do it, but not all states inspect. However.....if you DO get caught. OUch.

Not sure about emissions in MI, but I got my hi-flow cat installed for 125, including the cat. Running rich again won't be a problem if you change you O2 sensor.
