Replacing Alternator on the 02 SLE
Guys and or Gals, i want to change my alternator and the NAPA guy says what amperage do you need? Performance wise does it matter? If i have the smaller one, should i go for the higher rating? Price is the same for either one.

if you plan on putting a big stereo in it the bigger one is advisable. other than that it has no real bearing on performance that i know of. The stock one is meant handle everything you stock electrical can do.
