redesign with the rollmaster single chains?
I've read somewhere that there was some sort of redesign with these chain sets. I'm not sure when it happened or what it was. Anyone have info?
I'm having to build another engine for my gtp and I'm really far behind on what parts are good these days. Searches here and everywhere else bring up dated threads and mismashed opinions.
going with another xp cam, stage 3 head build, not sure on springs and chain set. Ive even heard oem is good with 105# springs.
My rollmaster single was still in great shape after 6years or so, btw. Might ask the machine shop as well.

I've not heard anything. But yes, a stock set is fine up to 105# springs. If you go to 130# or 150# springs then look at the double roller set. You will need a modified oil pump cover, they just mill a small amount off of the top. Or, you can use 2 timing cover gaskets. Otherwise the chain set will touch the oil pump cover.
