Default Rear Drum Brakes....

Ok... I know lots of people have done slotted rotors and stuff to the front brakes of the 92-99s. But what have people done to the rear drum brakes?

I think we can all agree that they should have been discs, but that didn't happen until 2000+.

My mechanic was fooling around w/ the idea of swapping disc brake parts from a Grand Am or Grand Prix. He'* not sure, but believes, that they might be able to mount on w/o any major overhaul.

Anyones thoughts on this?
Just so you know we haven't actually taken a close look at this yet, it was more of a brainstorming idea while we were talking on the phone.

And if we don't convert them to disc brakes, what upgrades if any do you guys do to your drums?

Umm, paint them. That'* it.

Upgrading rears won't get you much for stopping, at all. But it looks nicer for sure.
