when you apply the brakes..your vacuum booster uses vacuum. This is also normal.
Everyone start their car and apply the brakes, then hold them. Hear the engine change?

RPM drops, which slows the alternator and the voltage dropping is more common the cars.
This is because at 500-600 the pcm turns off the field of power to keep the alternator producing.
The best way to bump idle is through the pcm. However there is a set screw on the side of your TB that could be used to do this as well.

When I come to a stop, my idle drops to around 500 RPM and then my voltage goes down.
I'm going to see if I can get a friend of mine do the sense wire mod for me. I also want to raise the idle as well. Thank you Bill
I don't understand why the voltage drops though when I hit the brakes. It seems strange. I've never seen any cars do it. I looked it up and some other people have had that problem in other cars. Do you have any idea what it could be? As soon as I let off of the brakes, the voltage rises. And when I put her in neutral, it rises as well.

Hey Dan. In your tutorial, you give a link to the part. After I clicked it, the link doesn't bring me to where I need it to. lol. You said plug, but I don't know which plug. When I go to Rock, what should I look up? Pontiac? And what year? Sorry to be a burden. I got a few of my friends to help me with this.
