My ravin muffler has some pretty nasty rust and looks like it'* going to rust through in the near future. And i'm sick of hearing my parents bi$%h about how i wake everyone up in the morning when i warm up my car. Not to mention, i wouldn't mind having a quiet car, just to throw people off.
Do stock mufflers really flow that bad?
Is there some sort of quiet performance muffler?
Is there a resonator that is more quiet than my stock one?

I'm looking into replacing my Ravin, soon too. Not because it'* rusting, but because it is just too loud.

Wouldn't getting a larger muffler be able to soften the sound without losing performance. As for the resonator why not just remove it . That ought to quiet it down but you may get some crackling when you rev it.

Which one did you get?
I konw i could have gotten one that was half as short as stock but i got the one that was the same size.

What years was the N10 avialable?
Would the SSE/SSEI muffler fit no problem from a 96-99?

I do have an N10, it'* basically the SSE exhaust 88-91, and the high flow option until 93 on SE'*. It'* a great sound, and loudest stock, but it won't wake anyone up like aftermarket.

Resonators help too.

Get a Edelbrock RPM Series, i´m buying one for my Custom made exhaust system.

the 92-93 only...i have one, there are a few H bodies (both series one and series two)on my campus and I am def the loudest....
and if you have the 2.5 piping the SSE/SSEI will fit right up in there

Yes i will post pictures and sound when it´* done, they are ordering parts from the U.* now.
it´* going to be, 2,5" high flow cat and the Edelbrock muffler with dual outlets.
Also the Jet 2 chip, Open airfilter and performace coils and wires.
I hope it´* going to sound sweet
