Default quick question on rear o2 sensor

ok so after putting headers on her, i had to extend the 02 sensor wire about 6 inches, i tried to use the same gauge and resistant wire put it still seems off, any ideas on this? also hooking up an air/fuel gauge makes a different signal to the computer and at idle the rpm'* go up and down, i know it has to do with the wiring and the wires resistant, so does anybody know what the wires resistant are (in-case i measured wrong)?

I read that you can't splice O2 sensor wires because they use the wires for a free air refrence somehow, might have to get a new sensor and the premade extensions

Of course, I'm guessing your sensor isn't the square connector with 4 wires?
