Default quick muffler break-in

has anybody heard before of when you get new mufflers, to spray water into the exhaust to break them in quicker? Somebody told me this so I tried it and woah.. It made quite the difference! I put enough water in it (with the engine hot) until water came out the opposite exhaust tip. after It was good and full, revved it up to get all the water out and holy hell, it sounds sweet now. It is a whole lot deeper and sounds great! I didn't believe that it'd work, but it definately seemed to.

I heard it from my uncle. You know one of those old roadster stories.

My mechanic told me about it who builds and races cars from the ground up. He told me it'd mellow it out a lot quicker instead of waiting a few months for it to break in. I should make another recording now that I"ve done that. I can't believe a V6 could sound this nice, it sounds like a V8.
