Quick exhaust question
I'm looking into upgrading my exhaust system from the muffler on. I'm thinking the Dynomax glasspack muffler and like a Hooker tip, I would take the car to meinike for them to bend me a tailpipe and weld everything on. I just needed to know what diameter the pipe should be so I can order the right side muffler and tip. I have a '92 bonneville... anyone know the spec on this diameter?
Thanks guys.

You're lucky. You have single exhaust. I THINK it'* 2.25" on the SE, can anyone confirm? Straight in, straight out. A glasspack might be too loud, but it'* all in what you're looking for. (or listening for)
You'll do it cheaper than an SSE or SSEi because of the single outlet. Anyone here done one on an SE before (besides Hector )
(BTW, some of this will depend on what other things you intend to do on the car)

Well.... It'* a Series I so I am unsure. But probably is 2.25" from the factory, that'* what GM likes to use on the 3.8L engines since they use 2" for their 3.1L engines.

Ok thanks. What about length... in the 2.25 dia it comes 24 27 or 31 inches long, should i try to get one that is close to the length of the current one, or would it not matter because I'm gonna need a new tailpipe anyway?
Thanks.

Oh, length DOES matter, but we're talking about exhaust here.....right?
Buy whichever one is the closest to the stock length. That'll give you the best balance between sound and performance.
