Default Question

I know y'all said to not go lower than a 3.5 pulley on a stock motor for my car. Then why is it that Intense'* Stage 1 kit comes with a 3.4?

Because that has a PCM upgrade. That will help a bit but your still looking for trouble. I had about 7* or KR at that MOD point on my car. I then added a set of PEMs and a shift kit. I then had it down to 2* at the most.

The kit has everything needed to support the 3.4 pulley

the only concern i have is the pcm in doin those kits i have this underlying fear that something isn't goin to be right, or some jackball wont just do a case learn and will erase all the mods on it

If you know someone who has knowledge of a tech II outside of the dealership they can do a CASE learn for you. I heard if you have it done at the stealership you have very carefully specify not to flash the PCM

That'* the problem with those PCMs. 98+ need a CASE learn. Dealerships very rarely know what they are doing in this case and end up blowing away a $100+ performance tune because they simple do a reprogram.

Well, I don't go to the dealership for anything. I gotta buddy that has the scanner/tuning software.

I was just curious about it because I plan on that being my first performance mod and didn't wanna jacking anything up.
