Default Questing regarding cam and roller rockers...

As soon as I start making money back from the ssei I'm going to try to break 15 in the quarter...my question is..can I use 1.9'* with an intense stage 1 cam, or do I have to choose one or the other?

Also, are there any NA'* on this board that have broken 15?

You can use 1.7'* at the most with the intense stage one cam.
If your really going to do a cam on your L36 I'd suggest the GT1. There are many people running them with good #* to back it up.
The Intense n/a cams have a real peaky hp curve, require a torque converter, and only 1 person has been able to get good #* with them. (Wes)

ZZP GT1s don't require a torque converter?

What???? NA Bonnes only can go slower than 15? Whoa, slower than I thought! Anyway, I emailed Rogue about that. THe cam and roller rockers CANNOT be used together because the valves will be too far down among ohter problems, I'm not sure of the exact words Rogue used. I'm getting a Stage 2 kit in the summer from INTENSE. Should add 25 whp.

By breaking 15 I meant getting into the 14s

No. The GT1 dosen't take as much lowend away as the Intense cams do. GPGT'* are able to run 14.2-14.3 with this cam and all the bolt ons while using the stock torque converter and stock gearing. They do however have 3.29 gears and are lighter.

Isn't that what you have in your car? How much more punch does it have with the GT1 than stock?

I'm putting in 105 compcams springs, retainers and OR pushrods along with the cam.

The difference was night and day. The low end loss was hardly noticeable and the new power from 3000+ was very noticealbe.

Oh I must have gotten them switched around. That makes me feel so much better, I was thinking that car can only in the 15'*? But when you said getting in the 14'*, I was like "Hell yeah."

Does it give you a lumpy idle?
