I have ORs in my engine. They up the oil pressure in the lifter to keep the valve train tight.

Are those custom made to any length? Or specifically for Series 2 3800s? The L27'* have exactly 1" longer pushrods, and with the 1.8 ratio roller rockers, I wouldn't mind a stronger pushrod.

Thanks to Justin for pointing this out: that supposed lifter tick was just my fuel injectors ticking. Boy, I feel stupid.

But thanks for all the help — it'll help with my eventual mods!

How did you figure out it was fuel injectors ticking? Can't say I've ever heard my fuel injectors tick.

Justin'* engine makes the same sound. Bill didn't seem concerned, either.

Series II'* have pretty intense injector pulses so they make sound.
AS for Oil restrictive rods I would be too concerned getting those. The mods you would be doing don't warrent them oil restrictive are good for when you are going to be at high RPM'* all the time.
