In my car there seems to be a power band that starts right at 2000rpm, when driving normaly (say at 30% throttle) the car will pull normaly but once I hit 2000 it pulls noticable harder, and again at 2500rpm, the car will pull harder. (still at 30% throttle) and once it get'* past 3000 the engine seems to pull more evenly. Dident really notice untill I put the intake on though. Dont think the other 3800'* do this, so maby you LN3 people can help out, unless thats just the way the engine is lol

Keep in mind your torque converter will lock up a bit before 2000 RPM. That could be what your feeling. The stock cam starts to hit it'* power curve around 2000, but really takes off about 3500-5000.

Our torque converters do not lock up at low speeds. They do multipy torque at low rpm via the stator.
The peak torque in an LN3 is wayy low. That'* probably what you're feeling. Then after 2500 the torque steadily drops off till about 4500 or so.

Ive been thinking about actualy lowering the shift points a bit, because it winds them allll the way out and it'* kinda pointless because once I get above 4500 the engine loses steam. just to keep it in the curve of power, because this engine has a good amout of toqure* just at low rpm as mentioned.
But thank you for the answer, I was just wondering if it'* normal or not.
