I've always thought that engines with larger throttle bodies have to have some tuning done to get everything running properly?

If you think about it, it'* more of a turbulence/velocity thing.

The TB doesn't have that part at either end of it. The air just has to go around it, slowing it down and jumbling it around.

the diameter of hte TB really has nothing to do with tuning. Its the Mass ariflow sensor thatwill do all the cailbration, for A/F. But yes if you put a larger TB with a different MAS then you will need the A/F cailbrator

eh. i'd see it more as adding a cai or fwi... changing the amount of air you're taking in (on */c, anyway. on n/a, you're reducing the force required, and thus HP loss, to draw in the air).

I honestly don't know. i bought it on ebay, advertised as a TB for an L67. I thought it was going to be a SII, but it wasn't... and I can't find a P/n on it anywhere to find out. if you have a dimension for me to check, i'll check it...

Well actually, I'll have theJMFC check it, since I left it at his house while we were doing my CAI...

Did this at work. LONG endmill on a Bridgport Mill, cleanum with a Dremel and by hand, then cleaned it all up in an Ultrasonic cleaner. It makes quite a difference visibly.
Hmm, A maglight with slightly expanded batteries, a TB and, what did I see in there, a SC casing?

I think we need to clean the cleaner.

Yes, indeedy. I'm hoping some of your battery acid will help clean the SC, and possible loosen up my needle bearings a bit

That SC looks awefully funny sitting in that tank.

It'* coming. I'm getting the top end ready to further abuse the new trans. Old trans don't work too well with a big-*** hole in it.
