Default Ported exhaust manifolds

Anyone being serious in reducing kr you might want to get some ported exhaust manifolds from pector from clubgp. He had made a post that he has 2 sets of bonneville manifolds and was goin to port them. This guy makes great pems.

Anyone else use these? What are the performance gains? Pec claims 15 to the 22 or so for normal headers. can anyone verify this outside of Pec? These seem like a real good deal for the money. is it too good to be true?

If you have ever taken off a Series 2 manifold and seen how crappy they are you'd believe it.

I don't have specific numbers, but my noticed a much harder pull on the top end on the highway with these. Also, I'm sure it killed some KR, and gained some gas milage.

For the labor that you have to go through when installing ported manifolds I suggest spending a little extra cash (maybe a weeks paycheck, depending) to just get headers. You have to clean the heads no matter which choice you take, as well as install new gaskets, so just do the same but with better flowing headers. SLP'* are the cheaper option compared to TOG'* and I have no complaints.

For me, all i did was clean the heads, new gaskets were never installed. I have no problems as of yet.

Yea, I kept my stock gaskets. They were in good shape. I agree though, it is a pain to install them. But you save a TON of money.
