Time to get back on topic.
My wires have changed, btw. My recent trip to see DrJay and driverjohn resulted in my Taylors finally coming out (one of the rear plugs was shorting to ground). I'm now running 8.5mm Autolite Pro series wires. About $40. Happy with them so far (at 500 miles), and I ditched my stock retainer on the front valve cover. Didn't like the 90° bend the 1, 3, and 5 wires had to make.

i bought the 20 dollar lifetime cheapies at autozone for my beater car (94 shadow), and on their second plug change, they fell apart. run to autozone, new set of wires free... it'* a good feeling to know that if my wires die, i can replace them w/o having to *pay* for them. call me cheap, but it'* nice

So I guess we should all stay away from Taylor wires for now?? BUT I WANT BLUE WIRES dammit, lol.
I guess I will just get a set of MSD wires for the Malibu. I can get a set of 8mm wires called Blue Streak standard wires but they are plain grey. They are about 50$ per set and the Taylor wires are about the same. I guess too much of one color is not good anyhow. Hmm Red and blue seem fine.

Anybody try putting the colored wire looms over a good quality plug wire? It would be cheap, give you the color and a quality wire. Just a thought
