my goal is to get into the low to mid 14'* without nitrous.
Although I am not very familiar with the pre-97 SC 3800'*, I would think it would be fairly easy to go that fast without nitrous. Can't you do basically the same mods that are available for them now? Now it only takes a couple hundred $ to do that, was it a bigger deal in the pre-97'*? From seeing the timeslip when you were on the brakes, you should've easily been faster than 15.3, the same for when the EGR blew open. You know you can get a block-off plate for it right? I would think that would prevent it from happening in the future. You can also remove it altogether and get the code removed from the computer or just deal with the SES light. It would probably be a good idea so this little mishap doesn't happen again.

2000 SSEi:
K&N Air Filter, Thrasher 3.4" Pulley, I-Win 1.9 Rockers, Taylor 8mm Spark Plug Wires, AC-Delco 41-932 Plugs, Drilled 180 Thermostat, Gatorback Belts, Throttle Body Screen Removed
How much difference did the 1.9 rockers make :?:

You mentioned it is still getting 5 KR. Was it more before the rockers.
Mine has the same mods except stock rockers.
Have you track tested it yet ?....or is Mom saying to use the GTP for racing instead.
