Between the TOGs and SLP headers, less work is needed on the transmission support to fit the TOGs than the SLPs. Otherwise, any header that is made for a 97 to 03 W-body is going to fit a 97 to 99 H-body when speaking of firewall clearance, downpipe, etc.
The Pacesetters seem to be reasonable value, provided the quality control is good. ZZP says they need to resize many of the ends of the pipes to make them fit correctly, I wonder if any of the other Pacesetter resellors do the same?
I'm very happy with my TOGs but you should check the port alignment, cylinders #1 and 2 don't line up that well to the mounting flanges depending on the port configuration in your heads.
If I were to do it over again I might be tempted to try the Pacesetters based on the difference in pricing.
Cheers,

Ok.. let'* reiterate again buddy.
The SLP'* don't quite clear the top of the trans mount where the strut connects.
The TOG'* (per Foghorn 97w/Togs) says he had to cut the top of the trans mount above the strut.
Pacesetter is NOT currently making a set that fit the 96-99 B'ville. Echo SSEi knows a person at Pacesetter and is slated to be the first B'ville they will test fit them on... When is unknown as they are still developing the headers for the B'ville.
And for about $7 I believe I will have successfully altered a trans mount to clear the headers and also be more solid to hold future torque.
(Muttering something about starting to call you Morty) Evil statement there, but that'* what it'* feeling like.

First off the Pacesetter headers have bigger primaries them the regular TOGs. They have the same primary size as the TOG Xtreme headers.

Also remeber that the pacesetter headers have a 3" down pipe includued in the kit.
Now will the pacesetter headers fit, I have no clue. But being a first is always nice. Remeber ALL headers that were made for the 3800 had the W-body in mind. No header was designed specifically for the H-body. But they seem to work!?

No matter what brand you choose, you will most likely have to change your transaxle dipstick tube to the w-body tube so keep that in mind.
BTW, I know of at least 5 ppl running SLP'*, 1 person running TOGS and nobody running pacesetters in the 96-99 bonneville community.

Well I think I know why so many choose to go SLP. Pat made it very clear to me in a PM.
And about the morty comment? Eh Ill just kick ya in the nuts when I see ya Bill LOL
I started this thread to get as much info as I can, so that I dont end up making costly mistakes. Being a S2 owner now, theres LOTS to learn and although I may be trying the patients of some of the gearheads here, im just trying to get a grasp on what my 97 is capable of., so bear with me.....please
Now with that aside, Im hoping to get as much HP under the hood while still maintaining the daily drivability for now. Who knows what the future holds?????? Maybe a drag only 97 stripped down to only run the 1/4? Who knows? I just know that Ive got the mod bug and I want to do things the correct way. Am I over cautious? You bet!! Its not everyday I have the money to do things like this, heck only once a year during tax time. so I hope you all understand where im coming from

ALSO something that is very important is there is NO EGR bult into the TOGS....so you would would have to remove the EGR or disconnect it

I think you've got a great thread going. Sometimes you have to stick to asking the hard questions until all the info finally comes out.
Boy! Sometimes these GHs can be such a PITA to get info from, ya know what I mean? :P
Oh, wait a minute...uhm, never mind.....erase that...
