Default Opinions on the Bridgestone Potenza G 009 Tire?

I'm going to be putting a new set of rubber on my car ASAP and was looking at the Bridgestone Potenza G009 Tire. They all come pre-siped and have a good tread pattern. Any members have experience with them? Good? Bad? Indifferent?

Have you checked TireRack comments and ratings for cars about the same size as ours? I've found this to be a very helpful tool.

I have.. It was rated #2 out of 20 tires in the same class. Can't hurt to see if anyone with a bonneville has had experience with them though.

I have them on my '90 GP STE. I put these on in the summer of '04 and although I've only put 5k on the car since then, I LOVE the tires. For the money they are the best tire you can buy IMO. They do very well in the rain, dry pavement is pretty good, and they don't do bad in the cornering, since they are h rated the sidewalls are weaker so cornering isn't awesome, but its not bad. Also the very small amount of time I had the car in the snow it didn't do too horrible either. Tread life seems to be great too.

I'd recommend these tires to anyone looking at them. I don't think you will be disappointed.

There are a few I was looking at, but this one was the best combination of all weather rating I could find that came pre-siped.

And I knew what you meant guy.

I have them on my car. I'm pretty satisfied but I have to put that in context, I went from Potenza RE730s on my 2000 GTP to G009s on the Bonneville.

They're generally good and would likely purchase them again but they're getting roasted pretty quickly (must try to control right foot better

Cheers,

GET THEM! I had them on my Cutlass, and I got my parents to put them on their Monte Carlo. I loved those tires. I drove through decent sized puddles without any play in the wheels. Not that I recommend driving through deep rain puddles, but they were excellent in wet weather, and dry. I plan on getting these again! Only cost me $400, including installation.

I got them on my daily driver Maxima. Huge difference from the "touring" crap that was on it. I got mine when they were on sale in the winter. $86 a piece.
