I've probably run close to 20 gallons of Toluene through my car over the last 3 or 4 years with great success. I use it to bump octane for testing smaller pulleys only.

Will, I've a question for ya regarding the Touluene.
I've a buddy that races semi professionally in the local Nascar Dirt tracks. I don't recall what octane racing fuel he buys but If he mixes Toluene 50/50 with pump 93 he should get 107-110.
Would this be simular to racing fuel? I think he buys 104, not sure but I can find out. Just trying to save him some green$$$

No, the aromatic content is too far off gasoline to run it that strong. He'* probably restricted on his fuel anyway.
The rule of thumb (at least on streetable cars) is to never exceed 30% toluene. That being the case, the highest safe octane he could produce would be 100 octane (from 93 octane base). Race gas would be better for performance.
Again, I use it for octane/pulley testing ONLY.
