Default Newbie wants to know if he'* on the right track.....

I've been parousing what others have been doing as primary bolt-on modifications and was wondering if my plans were on the right track. Here'* the list of future mods so far:
CAI (I have stuck a K&N filter in place of the airbox for the SC sound for now)
PEMs
SC Underdrive pulley
180* T-stat
Colder heat range plugs (would like to know the best ones to use)
8.5 mm wires of some sort
Performance muffler (haven't decided on what brand yet)

In regards to the muffler, I'm looking for a brand that produces a nice tone out back, but not too much inside the car. I was also wondering if any PCM reprogramming would be neccesary to support these modifications. Also, the GN is the money pit right now so I'm just gonna do all of this whenever I can scrape the moola together. Either that or when I need to do a related repair (i.e. colder heat range plugs if the need arises for plugs). Any input would be greatly appreciated.

PCM is not necessary for that. The Catalytic Converter is just as important as the muffler, and 8.5mm wires will gain you nothing. Just use quality wires, and don't fall for the hype.

Harofreak00:
Who makes TR55s? Is it AC Delco? I don't look at the number when they're handed to me over the parts counter. I just thrash 'em in.
And the only reason I was thinking of PEMs was because I have a slight exhaust leak at the rear manifold.
Also, I just thought of another question I have as well. Is there anyone who makes scantool software for our cars. Or even better: someone who makes a program to play with the parameters and algorithms within the PCM. I have a scantool for my GN called Turbo Link. and I think they may interface with the GPs, but I'm not sure. (I don't even know why I mention that, as it'll probably do us no good anyway).
