Default New Muffler For Meh?

So I just got a new job and am thinking about spending my first check on a new muffler. I want Borla! Just want the muffler and tips as all Im really concerned about is the sound and wont be keeping this car for my use or doing much more to it after this. Question is is the muffler I have chosen a good choice or is there something that would be the better for our cars? Borla only! There is the Turbo and the Turbo XL muffler. The Turbo is rated at up to 300HP and the XL is rated at up to 450HP. I want the XL but only cause it looks nicer and is polished whereas the regular 300HP one looks plain and is not so nice. I dont care about horsepower ratings but if I get the 450HP one will that mean less power than the 300HP one or does it only mean that its made stronger? Anyways I want to go with the Turbo XL with the 2 1/2" nipples for $188.99 and two of the SINGLE SQUARE INTERCOOLED tips for $53.99 each. Will this be a pretty good buy and do you think I will be super pleased with the sound and possible performance gain? I think this thing would rock and would only run me about $350 after shipping so IMO its worth it.

The horsepower ratings are just how much it can handle, and they're not exact. Either will do.

Now I just read through the whole exhaust sticky above and will this thing fit? I thought it just went straight back but from what I read it sounds like its horizontal right behind the bumper.

It is. Jump under there and look You'll have to measure and see if it'll fit.

I personally can't see spending $Borla$ just for sound, when you don't have an identical car to compare to to know what you want. A Borla on even another V6 will sound totally different than your application.

Well Im just look for V8 obnoxious hot rod pimp sound so it doesnt really matter as long as it meets that. But yea I guess I could opt for the cheaper stuff and get the same result.

i called jegs too, you can get the aluminized one for about $100(cause they dont stock em anymore), but the polished stainless one is $120..... so for $20 more you get a sweet lookin muffler with a lifetime warranty.... i dunno, just my .02
