The 30 minute relearn is always a frustrating procedure to those of us who are blessed with impatience as a virtue.
But well worth it.

With the KR killing cold weather and sticky tires urged by a lead foot, I decided to swap in the 3.2" pulley.





.....and when I got back from that first ride, and turned off the ignition, I was rewarded with both fans staying on to cool her down.

Fantastic feel.

This is going to be my limit for now with all the horror stories out there on the weakness of the 4T65-E HD trani.

I'm loving this car now and all is working perrrrrrfectly.

Too tired now to take it out for the full test .......and the rain is starting to wet the roads so I'll update you all later.

I'm glad that PCM made a nice change. I wanna get one next spring.

As a side note, it sure was impressive when I first turned the key after installing the upgraded PCM. All the dash lights and DIC messages were displayed one a time and all other functions for the car cycled through as the computer relearned everything. It was a real show with bells and beeps and lights flashing for about a minute.

Neighbors thought you were a goner this time for sure.

Sorry Paul, my memory fails me...you had a DHP PCM previously? I recall you were having Torque Management issues (likely cause) before.

Please fill me in and let us know any contrasts you see (without mushrooms :P ) between PCMs.

Paul had a ZZP. Same as a DHP?? At least at WCBF

ZZP Sells DHP, but they're not into the Bonneville PCM as much as Intense. They don't have a Black SSEi runnin' 12'* Breathing down their neck for more freed up power.
