I think Im just gonna do the new engine and tranny. Would 10k let me do everything I wanted engine wise? I want to remove the old engine and tranny, get things in the bay area cleaned up and possibly painted and then buy everything pretty much new from wires and hoses to of course the engine and tranny. Then I will work on the rest of the car from the frame to the interior. I want to restore this car like crazy and then have a custom dash made to just have a nice radio and whatever I need to get it running. I can seriously do without the AC and all that crap because Im not even using my AC right now. I want to turn this thing into a racing beast but still be fully street legal. Im willing to spend the rest of my life with this car rather than be envious of every new car that comes out.

Actually with all that money I better just get an old Camaro body and throw in a 550 and six speed and be happy. I think that would be better and most likely less of a hassle mostly cause of all the electronics and wiring.

Yea, I saw that, but it might be more benefecial to use a setup from a less weighing vehicle, then a boat like a caprice or something.
