New Amsoil Air Filter Better than K&N?
Wasn't exactly sure where to post this thread, but it seems to fit best here.
Nanofiber air filters
New product by Amsoil. Saw it in Car Craft Mag. Claims to be both 50 times more efficient at filtering dust AND 3 times better flow rate than K&N. Plus cheaper.
Interesting...

heh, heh..
I haven't ever purchased Amsoil products, but, assuming I didn't have to join a cult to do so :P , I'd consider looking into this next time I'm looking for a K&N. That will have to be for my next car though, as I have what I need for now.

Lash.. it sounds interesting for sure... and I guess everything has to get proven at some point. I'd be a little leary and really research the specs.

Amsoil oil filters are one of the best in the market. They are made by Hastings to additional specs from Amsoil. Hasting oil filters are made to military and not commercial specifications. Hastings also makes all the oil filters for military vehicles including tanks, and also filters for general aviation. Both filters have a thicker shell and also an internal spring to keep the element pressed against the relief valve.

Well, I'm sure Amsoil appreciates the kudos, but this was specifically about the new nanofiber AIR filters. I'll change the title for clarity.

Well, gee now, I don't know. Maybe you misunderstood the purpose of this post. I was sharing some information I found that holds some promise for improved filtration AND improved flow rate. Both desireable things, no? You apparently think I'm advertising for Amsoil and have a beef (un-substantiated from what I can tell) with them.
Perhaps we should slow down and take a look and see just what they do and don't have, first. Then, once we know for sure what the facts are, decisions can be made. Sound fair?

Obviously my post came across wrong, I was being sarcastic. I do like these filters actually. I would like one, but I just put a cone filter on my car so I would greatly like a cone one of these in replacement, if they had one I would get it.
