Need some advice on some readings from my car.

readings from my riviera with a 2.4 pulley FWI. Hi-flow cat. and 2 1992 parkavenue injectors replaced under duress (spelling) (inside joke)

Mat: 288 degrees
BLM: 137
Int: 128
Adv : 13 degrees
KR :2 degrees

this is at WOT.

Looks pretty normal. On a hot day, you're going to have more KR. Be careful with that. 2.4 may have been a bit too aggressive without a better exhaust, particularly ported exhaust manifolds.

MAT of 288 degrees? ... really?

It was 100 degrees outside with the 2.4 pulley on. (hehe) I am going a little KR which I know are from leaky manifolds. Going to be taking care of that soon.

Is that good or bad?

J Wikoff 08-01-2006 12:59 PM

Um, thats really high

OLDsman105 08-01-2006 01:08 PM

uh-oh ummm...k Really high?! what is the norm for our cars (I hope it is just a bad sensor)

willwren 08-01-2006 01:19 PM

We don't have a MAT sensor. You do. I don't know what your normal readings should be. Do you have an FSM?

J Wikoff 08-01-2006 01:22 PM

Hmm, I interepreted it as IAT, because my scantool says MAT instead, when I know I don't have an MAT to begin with.

Funny my scan tool doesn't have a IAT reading? At least I don't see it?

willwren 08-01-2006 02:36 PM

Disconnect your IAT and see what the scanner says.
