Yes, that is correct. You are supposed to let the car idle for 1 minute before putting it in gear, and you are supposed to let it idle for 30 seconds in park before shutting the car off.

the only bad thing about turbo is i feel they tire out the engine faster and the engine has to be built for a turbo

My brother and I had aftermarket Turbo Coolers installed on our cars. When you parked the car, and turned the key off, locked the car and walked away, the car would continue to run if the turbo was over a certain temperature. The car would run for about a min. or so and then shut down. I had a 300ZX Twin Turbo and he had the Eagle Talon AWD Turbo. The systems worked wonders, and we never had an engine or turbo problem on either car...and we may not have been the kindest to them .

If you have the turbo, I feel it is the best $120 CDN you can spend.

That is the case with any power adder. It is harder on the engine, and the engine should be built for it. Since the GM pushrod V6'* are essentially bulletproof, and then the ones with boost are built up even stronger, I don't see myself having any problems with the engine anytime soon.

how reilable is that ste? i had a 90gp non-turbo i love it but i heard the the turbo motors werent the most reilable? I dont know tho

Well the STE has 99,400 miles on it, and the 2 door Turbo has 115,000 miles on it, and they both run very well. They always start first try, and from what I have witnessed so far, we can beat the crap out of them all we want and they won't break. I know of a lot of people that have well over 150,000 on them and theirs are still running good. The turbo 3.1'* seem to be just as reliable as the regular 3.1'*, which they should be since they have a hardened crank & rods, forged pistons, etc..... They were built to handle the boost and they do it very well. That is what I have seen from my experiences and I honestly believe they are very reliable engines.

my 90 gp i beat the **** out of it and it didnt give me many problems exspeacilly when you go bout 30mph in rev and the slam her in to drive she would just smoke the tire for ever and the street would have smoke hoover for like 15 min of course i went threw tires like nuttin but the tranny was rock soild when i got read of her and the reason why i got rid of her is cuz she blew a headgasket cuz i got her a little to hot (you know cast block alumiuiom heads) watch for c-v boots? if you like to do burners
