My car's 1/4 mile time is poop.

All right. It'* been a while, but I'm sneaking closer and closer to a scantool. Aside from that, I've noticed that my boost is weird. It'* when I gun my car from just rolling at any speed that it goes to 5. However, if I do WOT, it stays at 5 for a bit, rises, and goes to the 7.5 mark at shift points. At every shift point. Is this normal?

I just thought I'd mention that because the boost increase did not corrsepond fully with the RPMs in that there was a constant 5 PSI of boost for a while, which jumped to 7.5 at once on the shift point.

BUMP! & EDIT
I installed a very interesting thing, and for that I had to remove my battery. Here'* the video that explains it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVdqjHnZvkw
Even though this has nothing to do with performance, the removal of my battery for the installation time reset the computer in my car to the extent that upon starting it, I got no errors except for traction & ABS because of a wheel speed sensor.
The car was insane. I think it'* faster because almost every time I'd gun it, it chirped too much, even from a slow roll. There was so much more power, and the idle was much, much more smooth. Everything about the engine worked better, and the transmission shifted faster - much faster- and more smoothly, and there'* no strange stuff.
However, the SES light came back on, and it'* for the MAF sensor & the torque converter clutch. So much for the rebuilt tranny. I think the thing that made the most difference, though, was something for which you'll think I'm nuts.
I read through the Techinfo articles, and then I installed properly a 2.6" pulley. Now, I get about 10 PSI, but just a bit under, and the engine seems happier. There'* no strain, clatter, or anything of that nature. I'll go through the entire car with a scantool once I can pick one up. There'* a $300 one with a color LCD and lots of buttons that caught my eye, but I'm still going to try ebay.
