Default Mufflers :: Flowmaster 80 Series

So my muffler is years old and I assume the internals have deteriorated since we couldn't find a leak and it gets very raspy/rattley/ricey sounding at 2100rpm. I am getting complaints now because it sounds like crap and is very loud when the engine is just started cold.

So hers my options:
1. Dad pays for Stock Replacement
2. I pay for better equipment, Flowmaster or Magnaflow.

I'm pretty set on liking the Flowmaster 80 Series

But the Magnaflow is cheaper...

I have listened to these and I am diggn' the flowmaster more...

Opinions?
Magnaflow vs. Flowmaster?
Aftermarket vs. free (For me)?

Stock, it'* free and you really can't outflow them so what'* the point, plus you can use that "theorical" money and mod the car some more.

If you want to pay for the sound go ahead, but personally I'd take a free replacement. My SSEi'* muffler is OEM replacement for what it'* worth.

can you get your dad to take the value of an oem and put that towards a aftermarket?

Hmm... u got me wanting a flowmaster now lol. That'* 2.50", I suppose the local exhaust shop could make my 2.25" inlet fit that. Perhaps I'll give them a call tomorrow. I was finding them on ebay for $95 shipped.

Stock would be my choice. I'm not much for making things loud and drawing attention to yourself over nothing.

I do plenty of things to draw attention.
