Default Muffler louder?

O.K. I'm a girl. And I don't know the lingo, so please answer in laymen terms!
I am in need of replacing my muffler on my 97 40th SSEI. And I want it to sound a bit more like a.....race car! Is it possible and what do I buy :?:

The two most popular mufflers by a wide margin for our cars are the Magnaflow and the Flowmaster80.

Until you actually hear one personally, it will be impossible to pick. Vids and sound clips don't accurately represent the sound of either.

I personally prefer the more mellow, deep tone of the Magnaflow. Some prefer the louder throaty Flowmaster.

This site has a few clips of differnt mufflers on bonnies
http://www.bonneville.fearthepearl.c....php?page=mods

but as Willwren said, they sound much different in person, camera don't pick up the sound quite like our ears do . Personally I have the Flowmaster 80 Series and i love it, though I haven't heard a Magnaflow on these cars in person yet...

Heres what I have: Flowmaster 80 Series

Willrens Magnaflow

Don't mind the price difference there, I found my flowmaster for $82 on eBay
magnaflow can probably be found cheaper than that as well, just look around
