If you gents are worried about a loud aftermarket muffler, whats stopping you from getting a replacement OEM muffler?

Have you seen the price of those Jim? For my '97 the list price was over $500 Cdn., I could have bought it for $437. The OEM part includes the tailpipes and a mandrell section of the inlet, this fits over the intermediate pipe which must be cut.

I don't think GM sells many of these!!!

I ended putting on a DynoMax TurboFlow - I absolutely HATE the drone that comes with it .

New Flowmasters run about $75 bux

Offer $45-$50 and be on your way or get a new one for $75

Yep, the whole system is stock except for the muffler and tails.

To help with the exhaust drone (and some road noise) add some thick residential carpet padding under your trunk carpet. Did wonders for mine.

That could very well be part of my problem, it appears that I don't have any underpadding of any sort under the carpet :? .

I'll have to try that and report back.
