Default MSD or Stock Ignition Coils

I was just wondering how many people have changed their ignition coils to the MSD coils?

I am looking around and it looks like it would be about $120 for the set of 3.
If you have replaced the coils what kind of power gain did you get?
Also is there any other coils that would directly mount up like the MSD'*?

MSD are the best! But there is Accels too. For more info on MSD try my store!

This info is straight from MSD themselves.

I put in the MSD coils a few months back. What I noticed from them was crisper throttle response, smoother idle, slightly faster revs. It was also the easiest mod I've done. In my opinion it is worth the money to upgrade to the MSD

I new there had to be a difference. I have a post going to get some info on the stock coils and Rotgut posted this.

I wouldn't even bother upgrading the coil packs. The stockers are just fine.
He must not have the desire for MORE POWER.

How about MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor or Taylor Pro-Spiro wires?[/b]

Default msd coils

One thing i noticed before i installed the msd coils is that their seemed to be a slight hesitation when i hit the pedal, like a pause or something, After installing them the hesitation is no longer

The part number is P-8224 but mostly all the vendors I have found have different numbers in place of the P.
Jegs uses 121-8224, Summit Racing uses MDS-8224

Here are some links:

Other online websites:
Jeg'* High Performance

Summit Racing

All of them run about $40 a coil.

As for the Accel wires. You might look into MSD and Taylor wires they are a lot better.

Taylor Spiro Pro wires are great. They'd go well with the coils, and come in green, blue, red, yellow and black.
