I feel NIC cams is just a gimic for people who don't want to go intercooled. As for the bottom end. The highest HP I've seen on a blown engine is around 500 to the crank. Also to get power you want a GEN V and a Gen III

didnt no u could go intercooled with that cam but thanks for the info im not trying to build a full out drag car i just want something that sounds lope and is faster then my n/a l36 bonneville that i could run with a top swap and still get good gas mileage still

Actually, the L26 is a bit more common then you may think. Just need to look around. Should be able to find a L26 short block in the $300 range. Add another $250 in gaskets and your set. I did my build in one day, and I was sick at the time so I wasn't moving real fast.

Right now I have stock L67 heads. I've taken this engine as far as I plan at this point in this car. It'* to big of a car, with to much HP on a FWD car. I would rather start a project car, a Fiero and drop this engine in that and build it more.

what are ur hp #* with ur set up jw? maybe u could give me a list for the l26 and l36 if i intend to keep it. but im thinking of just getting a z3 kit and a new tripple edge trans and scratching the whole top swap ordeal and go turbo much easier and more effiecent

Don't know my HP numbers yet, been to busy to finish the tuning. The L36 and L26 are the same, except the L26 is the newer version. So that'* the one you want to find.
