I think my L27 is pretty quick.
Try shooting for MSD parts to get the absolute best spark possible, then if you're up to it go for nitrous. Zex is "safe" for an L27, however NX (which is better) could be more harmful.
Otherwise, wait for one of the designer/developers to come up with a turbo system. The problem is that no one really gears anything towards the L27 because its a dated engine. I don't hold any grudges against that, I mean come on...its all about the market demand. :P
