I'd loose the leather headliner idea but the rest sounds good.

Talk to harofreak00. He applied carbon fiber vinyl to his dash.

Acutally, I took mine out through the right rear door. Haro'* went through the right front and JDB'* went out the same but he removed the door. I guess there is no right way to do it... just what you feel is the best.

From what I understand about leather, different parts of the cow hides have different quality leather. Different textures too. You'll probably need a full hide because of the odd shape it has after it is removed from the cow if you want a seamless headliner. So you are going to see differences from place to place and it'* going to cost $150-$200. That'* what they make vinyl for.

I have an auto trim shop close to me and they must have 50+ different rolls of headliner fabric. You just have to look in the right place.

Leather on the seats for the durability... definitely. Vinyl for the headliner is you decided to go that route because you can get one piece large enough to do it without seams. Much cheaper too. It will probably cost $14 for the amount of material you need for a headliner (2 linear yards)

Try to get a sample of the leather and match it up with the vinyl. I'd still suggest the use of regular headliner fabric but that is just my opinion.

It sounds like it'* gonna be a pretty hot ride. I'm all for the modifications but sometimes you have to take a step back and ask yourself if it'* going to look right.

The important thing is to do what you like. That'* what makes your car unique.
