yeah I knew a tune was in the works if I did that. been looking at some UIM 26 research and looks like it helps throttle response because it holds more air in the snot. I may do it but looks likes the PCV system need some modding I don't look to enjoy as effective or solid.

The PCV thing is all right. You just have to run a rubber line to your throttle body, and then you're set. People have different ways of doing it, and that may make it understandably confusing. The L36 UIM actually has more room inside it, but the L26 has a longer snout and a round intake rather than an oval one, so it allows for better volumetric efficiency.

So I don't have to drill into the adapter plate I can just run a Hose from one of my TB ports it the nipple on top or the UIM

Yes, that'* basically all you've got to do. Just make sure it'* not blocked by the throttle plate. Use a vacuum port that'* set up at the back of the throttle body you choose to use.

Yep, right on that side.

As for pulling the trigger, no throttle body that I know of that will work for you will bolt up to an L26 UIM. You'll have to get an L67 to Gen V M90 adapter plate. These are at most $100 from ZZP, though others may have them for less. Agrazela took ZZP'* $50 L67 TB spacer plate and made it into an adapter. That'* a possibility, but it requires some very precise drilling.

People say they're about the same. I like mine since it won't crack, but I've heard that the aluminum heatsoaks and then negates performance. One time at a track, I threw ice on my aluminum UIM and made it cool to the touch. Then I ran the same time except for about a thousandth of a second. I said to some shoddy administrator that the aluminum most likely helps dissipate heat, and he locked my thread. Everywhere else though, this aluminum UIM is accepted mostly for its inability to crack like the plastic UIM does. Basically, that'* why I paid the premium. The performance gained from the better volumetric efficiency is nice too. It'* about 5 hp I think.
