is a mod chip so hard to find?
i've been looking for a mod chip recently, preferably jet stage 2 but it seems that they discontinued it from the site i was looking at. how did some of you guys get yours? does anybody know where i could get one now?
Chips for 92-93 can be hard to come by, but they may still exist. Jet DID make one, but last I checked its discontinued. If you see some other members with chips its probably because they got them long ago.
Best bet is to find someone with OBD1 tools who has programming experience.

If you don't mind getting a scan tool and collecting data, try Sinster Performance (www.gmtuners.com).
I would suggest to go with a custom chip anyways since no two cars are the same.
I'm collecting data and working with them right now. I should get my next chip before the weekend.

Oh, and I do know he has a L27 tuning program.

I'll still beat you.
Good luck on finding a chip..Gm tuners will prolly be your best bet.
I would call www.jetchip.com and verify the part number that you need. Make sure that you have the MEMCAL code of off your prom before you call. You can ask them where it is available. I bought mine from http://store.summitracing.com/ earlier this year.
