There'* no logical reason the car shouldn't run with your current mods and the chip and AFC removed.
Conclusion: Somethings broken. Need to get a scantool on that thing. Who lives near you that can do this?

Our experiences with the Superchips are bad. We had one in a 94SSE (same PCM setup as you), and it was worthless. That was Allmachtige before he bought his SSEi. We had another member (don't remember who) that pulled his superchip in disgust.

I think that you used stiffer valve springs and stainless valves right? And did you keep the stock 1.6 to 1 rockers... If memory serves the totall valve lift of a stock L36 is slightly better than .400...

Exhaust Lift .317" (.507" lift at 1.6:1 rocker ratio)
