The PCM will probably pull serious amounts of timing. I don't mean 'like ****' as in barely driveable, but I mean it isn't going to make serious power, sound the best, get the best fuel economy, and whatnot.

He'* already running advanced timing on stock plugs from the Intense PCM. Odds are he'll be pulling out the intense PCM and going back to stock so that the spark advance is taken out. Better safe than sorry. The heads are somewhat ported as well. I am hoping that in the next couple weeks(after the heads get machined), he can take his car to the dyno jet, get a baseline pull, then swap heads and get a tune to match and a pull to see what he'* done. Ported mani'* are also on the chopping block as soon as he gets the rear manifold off and can grind 'er down. He had a spare front from his $50.00 engine he bought. All in all, hoping for some decent gains... But this is his baby.

Hey them heads don't look too bad. Ever get them checked out yet for warpeage?
If you up the compression not much more past about 10.5-11:1.....That'* where premium will be manditory. To combat knock.

I think that with the proper timing, you can run 11.5:1 on 93 octane with cast iron heads and 13.5:1 with aluminum... that might be hearsay though. Every time I look at those heads I get greedy and want to take out more...

Hands off, grubber!
Yeah, we'll give you all a report on the gains that the D. Sajak custom heads provide (of course, I'm assuming they're not warped). This project will take a while, since I just got MARRIED (yes, married!) and my funds are a bit lower, lol. We'll keep everyone posted.

These are the latest and greatest, we've come so far in the technology as to eliminate exhaust ports entirely.... honestly... they look like crap(why the intakes are posted!), but I figure if I can take the initiative, they will clean up nicely....
