Default Magnaflow

I ordered a firebird/camaro magnaflow muffler for my car. I could only get 2 1/2 in. My cars pipe is 2 1/4. Wil my muffler shope be able to put this on? And should i remove resignator. I want the most sound out of my magnaflow?

The muffler shop will have the pieces to convert from the 2.25 to 2.5. Someone else will have to answer the ressonator question.

is it going to be 2.5 the rest of the way out, or does it shrink back down? if it does that may cause some unwanted back pressure.

I have a Magnaflow setup, and my car didn't come with a resonator. (94 was the first year for that).

I'll be having a resonator installed during 'tech day' at the West Coast meet. It'* just too damn loud. I like the moderate throttle and idle sound, but not 1/2 throttle to WOT. It'* deafening.

Actually that should make your install cheaper, your installer only has to use one adapter.

Cheaper? He will put the one reducer on from 2.25 to 2.5 in then the dual tips are 2.25 so wouldnt he just use 2.25 piping for that? Anyone that has this setup about how much did it run them for install with tips? just curious
