I don't think anyone here is stupid enogh to fall for that, Russ. Nice try though. Unless you want to call carbon buildup a special coating.

i figured it was new because most of the other ones I have seen are more of a gold/broze color. How does it feel in the car?

Don't know, It'* still sitting the shed. It'll get installed after I get some baseline numbers out of the car. That way we have nice numbers to quantify the chit'n'git.

I am surprised this hasnt been done to the TBs from INTENSE and ZZP.

I predict a loss in MPG and a slight increase in performance across the band.

Did you document it so that others know what to do?

You're probably right, but ZZperformance has thought of something along the same idea line.
http://zzperformance.com/zzp/product...lebody_GTP.htm

Intense-Racing has their Stage 1 L36 and while they don't show pictures of the MAF side they do say, "TB is bored from 65 to 68mm" and don't have an AFC recommendation in the 'Important Notes' area.

I dunno, this may be a decent "free" mod as long as all the details pan out.

Yeah...The ZZP one is obviously for SC, My gasket looks nothing like that.

And uh... They're lucky their MAF has it'* own surround...

I just noticed the difference between the two TB'* I have. The one I've modded has an adjustable high limit. The one on my car doesn't. I've adjusted the one that'* going in to where the "close" limit has the TB Plate just barely closed. I don't want it snapping into the bore. The high limit has the TB Plate paralell to the flow of air.
