The centers tore out of them when we were burning out the tires. It only happened to the one rim but that is enogh to make me get stronger rims. They were working fine for about the first 20 seconds then a loud crack and cruch and the rim went flying. I should say that the rims can't handle 600+ hp. The '69 racer pumps around 1000hp

Pardon the doubt, but we've been spoofed before. You show me a picture of a bonneville doin' a RWD burnout, I'll be more likely to bite. Until then, I have my doubts... I hope you're for real, cause it'd be an awesome project. However, you said something about making a bonneville perform without "paying through the nose", an LS7 isn't exactly a low budget upgrade. Just my two cents.

i agree

ljjc, we have alot of sceptics like me and chadow, We would really love to see what your planning on doing, but i know im not holding my breath for too long

and honestly, you could build a 6-700hp L67 for a whole lot less than 40grand

Why is it I can't seem to find any references (even vague) of any of your car projects anywhere on the internet?

You just build these for fun, and never publish?

And doing a burnout isn't exactly super stressful on a rim. You can only fit a certain sized slick on those wheels, and they won't grip hard enough to snap a wheel. More than likely it'd snap on a launch, if you had enough traction.

best case scenario the tire would sit, and the rim would spin. MAYBE if you somehow managed to fit a 21" wide slick on a 7" wide rim and BOLTED the tire to the rim, then MAYBE you could break the rim, but the cast aluminum would crack, and snap, not twist

i agree with the BS flag, the more i read, and the more i think about it, the less im a believer

rickets:

It'* really amazing. It normally only takes the first 5 posts to raise the BS flag in a case like this, and the fact that it took until page 2 to actually raise it is a testament to the respect members here have for others.

In this particular case, I started my investigation quietly behind the scenes immediately. The website that was created during the first page of this topic raised my suspicions further, as did the fact that none of these projects have been publicized at all that I can find.

I too, tested the phone number (which was a residence at one time recently) as soon as the website was posted. I'd personally like to know how all those buildings in each shot are different? Including the interior shots?

What we have here is a situation where credibility is something the poster must prove and earn. Until that time, I'd have to say every word posted is BS.

We have had many members over the last 4 years that come in here with some pretty wild claims, and this one is by no means even close to the 'king' of fabricated profiles.

Unless of course, the topic author would like to answer some of the questions raised here?
