Default Look what'* baking!

Yes, it stinks. Do this when nobody else is at home.

Spray on truck bed liner for protection from rock chips UP FRONT. This is the 'test unit' I got from the wrecker last week. 2 tips will be modified just like this very soon for use. Notice the round fitting has a taper on the forward edge.

I assume this is some sort of ram air in the front bottom air dam?

You got it. I figure bedliner will hold up to the roadrash better than almost anything else. The front of the scoop is 12 square inches. The round fitting is 3 square inches. I figure the pressure differential will help the air 'turn the corner', especially while the supercharger is pulling from the other end.

This is intended to keep engine bay heat from being pulled into my CAI. The other side will feed a cooling duct for the SC itself.

What is the measurement between the center of the holes?

What is the distance from the centerline of the holes to the front face?

That'* an electrical chase fitting glued in there. 2" i assume.

awwwww, I wanted cookies!

Where did you get that? To test it you should stick it out the window when driving down the highway, hold one hand outside the window and the other over a pipe attached to the top. You might want to have someone else drive. This would let you feel how big of a difference the curve makes. Looks pretty professional to me! How much?

Ah ha!!! I was wondering what you meant when you said I should get ahold of these for.

I was thinking along the lines of you finding someone who would chrome plate them for like $50.
Guess not, but an even more useful idea.

This was the play piece. Yes, that'* a 2" electrical chase nipple, but notice I ground the hex end at an angle for less wind resistance. The placement of the nipple in the scoop isn't firm yet. The critical factor for the SSEi and SSE is the placement of the hose. It'* dictated by the hole in the underside of the airdam. So you have to position the hose and nipple, then decide how far forward you want the scoop. I want this to be low visibility, but haven't firmed up the locations yet. It will almost certainly change on the 'production' units, as well as a curved piece of sheet metal inside to direct the air upwards.

There is a 4:1 ratio of surface area between the mouth of the scoop and the nipple. Dimensions on the way when I get the position fixed for the nipple in the scoop, and the backing plate made. You'll have to use a backing plate on the INSIDE of the airdam to support this on all models except the SEl, which Dame and BonneMe are working on a solution for.
