Dirthead, I still drive around on a popped piston too. But I have my new motor about ready to go.

For the mount on your 97, read here:

My first two prototypes tore apart. My last one shown there works great. You can do it without removing the mount.

That is funny. I too, pulled a 1.93 60', but my mount was only starting to tear apart. I didn't do it any favors that day or the next.

I'll move your topic back to Performance and Brainstorming now that we know what'* up.

(BTW, Rev2 of my welded mount lasted about 2 hours with Silverbullet and I beating on it, and it'* very difficult to get the two halves aligned when welding and have the mount actually fit the car when you're done)

Geez your another one joining the 3 motor club? Sorry to hear about the news, I know the feeling though. Luckily my 2nd motor saw more then 3k rpms (more like 6300, 1492miles) before it died.

Break it and bulid it up stronger bro.
