The blocks are exactly the same L36/L67 wise.
The only difference in the bottom end is:
rod/piston set
Flexplate is drilled different (some yrs are totally different)
crank pulley (dampner), and here the ONLY difference is the pressed on */C belt rib set
ALL other items in the bottom are the same, even the block.
I dont think they really explain much of anything, the thread link earlier explained MUCH more. A lot of ppl. can simply tear down a 3800 and tell you everything, but most dont feel like waisting webspace to do it.
This has been proven wrong time and time again!
The cams are the same in both motors, thead heads are the same, except the L36 head need injector ports. There are actually less difference in the L36/L67 than most ppl. realize.

http://www.thrashercharged.com/tech_...gine_tear.shtm . This site will explain differences between the 2 and why L67 are much stronger then the L36.
differs between the L36 (9.4:1) and the L67 (8.5:1) That'* right, you can't just bolt a blower on a naturally aspirated 3800 and expect to get a L67! Heads, rods, and pistons (including wrist pins) need to be changed.
